Blessed in so many ways
“There came a point in time where it was clear that our family could no longer care for grandma by ourselves. As heartbreaking as that reality was, we had yet to understand that we were about to be blessed in so many ways. Beyond providing a safe place for grandma to live, the staff have opened their hearts to both grandma and our family. Marla Vista has been able to provide balanced meals which over time has made her diabetes much more predictable and controlled. They are there for her when we cannot be. So often I walk in and grandma is just visiting with a nursing assistant or even Adam, the resident chef. She participates in activities which we as her family could no longer get her to be involved in. To our family, Marla Vista is not a residential care facility. It is a warm, comfortable home with many friendly faces of extended family members.”
