Blessed in so many ways

“There came a point in time where it was clear that our family could no longer care for grandma by ourselves. As heartbreaking as that reality was, we had yet to understand that we were about to be blessed in so many ways. Beyond providing a safe place for grandma to live, the staff have opened their hearts to both grandma and our family. Marla Vista has been able to provide balanced meals which over time has made her diabetes much more predictable and controlled. They are there for her when we cannot be. So often I walk in and grandma is just visiting with a nursing assistant or even Adam, the resident chef. She participates in activities which we as her family could no longer get her to be involved in. To our family, Marla Vista is not a residential care facility. It is a warm, comfortable home with many friendly faces of extended family members.”

“Our mother has been at Marla Vista for almost two years now and we love it. The staff is always very professional and courteous. It gives us peace of mind knowing mom has a safe, secure place to live. And with the different levels of care provided at Marla Vista, if mom needs additional care she won't have to move to a nursing home, she can stay where everything and everybody is familiar.”

"I want to say thank you for the wonderful work you are doing at Marla Vista. As you know we enlisted my wife Rosemary into the program last November and she is doing so well, thanks to the care you and your workers have been giving her.

As you know, I have been visiting Rose once or twice a day, (except for the few days when I had pneumonia) and have had a front row seat watching you and your workers carry out the many duties and services that are so critical for the needs of the people, yet you are so patient, caring and efficient. You have a gift that only comes from God."

"Dear Leslie,

I just wanted to thank you and your staff for making our mother’s 90th birthday a very enjoyable day. Thanks go out to Kate and staff for her help with having the activity room set up and decorated; Tabitha for doing our mom’s hair and getting her dressed – she looked great; and also thanks to Dave for his grill master’s cooking. It was cooked perfect.

I would also like to say thank you to your staff for all the TLC care that is shown to our mother on a daily basis. It really means a lot to our families.

Thanks again."
